Let's bid for local defibrillators

Having a defibrillator nearby can literally be a matter of life and death.

That's why last month the government announced a new £1 million fund - to hopefully put 2,000 more of these life-savers into local communities. 

A new banking hub in Faversham

Last week I visited the newly opened banking counter at Faversham Post Office.

It's a huge boost for the town, after losing Lloyds, Barclays, and NatWest in the last two years. That left Nationwide as the only branch still open in the town.

A long term fix for Op Brock

I was so disappointed with the news this week that Operation Brock is set to restart in July. 

As everyone locally knows, Brock means heavy traffic on Kent's roads, lower footfall for businesses, longer journeys and hours spent sitting in traffic - sometimes day after day.

Last week Kent County Council published their Household Waste Recycling Centre Review, and we found out that Faversham tip is due to close in all of the options they're considering.  

A new deal for social housing tenants

Everyone deserves a home that's safe, secure and well maintained - and that includes people living in social housing. 

Sadly that's all too often not the case, and that's why the Government promised to take action on this when were elected in 2019.
