Frognal Lane sign
Helen and Cllr Julien Speed discussing Teynham's sewage network
Frognal Lane

Since Teynham joined my constituency at the General Election last year it was brought to my attention that sewage regularly floods in Frognal Lane and Frognal Gardens. People reported sewage pouring into the street and gardens, and not being able to take showers or flush their toilets. When Southern Water were told, they blamed torrential rain and people disposing of wet wipes, fat and oil down their toilets and sinks.

Finally – after pressure from Cllr Julien Speed and me – Southern Water investigated and now admit the network is in fact in poor condition. They’re currently planning works to address the problems and promise to keep us all up-to-date with progress which I will continue to share with you.
