Operation Brock barriers won't budge

Letter from Highways England

The steel barrier will remain on the M20 until at least October, Highways England have told me.

This is in case Operation Brock needs to be activated at short notice. The barrier and the 50mph speed limit are a hassle for drivers and make journeys longer than they need to so, so the sooner we get a permanent alternative to Operation Stack the better.

Councillors and volunteers are playing a crucial role in our response to the coronavirus.
