I’m starting these updates in addition to my surgeries, meetings and visits - to keep local businesses up to date on what's going on, both at a national level and here in the constituency.
They’re packed full of helpful information, including on Government grants and support available, as well as local business events.
The last few years have been such a challenge for businesses across the UK. We've had a global pandemic, a relationship change with our biggest trading partner, and now the effects of a war in Europe.
As a Government we're doing all we can to help. I saw this first hand in my previous role as Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury where I worked on helping small businesses achieve their potential.
But I know when you're busy it can be hard to keep up to date with all the support available, so I'm hoping that these updates will act as a signpost for local businesses.
