Delay to Blue Bell Hill improvements

Blue Bell Hill

Blue Bell Hill junction can be an absolute nightmare. I know residents in Boxley, Walderslade and Lordswood have to deal with it every day.

Under the last government, the Department for Transport was going to fund 100% of it, but the new government haven’t said if this is still true. I’ve written to the Roads Minister for clarity on how much funding they’ll provide and to ask what’s taking so long for improvements to begin. Costs will only go up with delay.

Getting this upgrade – which has been promised for almost 5 years now – is good for local residents and our national road network. I will make sure the Department for Transport hear this loud and clear.

Let Kent County Council know your thoughts on the new design for the junction here (consultation closes 17th March).
