winning Christmas card design

I’m delighted to announce the winner of my 2021 Christmas card competition.

This year’s winning design comes from Hermione from Hollingbourne Primary School. It features a winter rooftop scene beneath a dark blue starry sky.

Over 100 drawings were sent in this year, but Hermione’s design impressed me the most. A certificate and goodie bag are on the way to Hermione’s school.

I know that it’s been another hard year, but it has been better than last year – we have been able to do more, the economy has been bouncing back, so many of us are now vaccinated, and we really are looking at a better year ahead.

This continues to be a challenging time for schools, but I’m glad that so many children were still able to take part in the competition this year. The standard of entries was as high as ever.

Thank you to all those teachers who encouraged their pupils to take part, and to the children who submitted such excellent designs. Choosing the winning design is always a difficult task.

Hermione’s design will be used as the image for my official Christmas card this year and will also be appearing on my Facebook and Twitter accounts over the holidays.

I would like to wish everyone in Faversham and Mid Kent a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
