This page has been created to provide up-to-date information and advice on Coronavirus (COVID-19).

If you need medical help, please use the 111 online Coronavirus service.

The Government's Coronavirus website will direct you to a range of services if you or your business have been affected. A list of local contacts is also available on my website here.

Helplines below:

  • Business support and ventilators: 0300 456 3565
  • Charities: 0300 066 9197
  • HMRC: 0800 015 9559
  • Universal Credit: 0800 328 5644
  • School closures: 0800 046 8687
  • Travel advice: 0207 008 1500 (more information on my website here).

We are well prepared as a country to deal with the virus. The Government’s actions are informed by the Chief Medical Officer and the Chief Scientific Adviser. These two officials and their teams are in contact with a broad range of specialists in relevant fields and are feeding their recommendations back to the Prime Minister.

The UK is a world leader in medical and scientific research and our experts have field experience from outbreaks of viruses and diseases across the world.

The best thing to do is to follow the latest advice from Public Health England.

Our response to the virus requires a national effort. We need to come together and look out for each other - particularly the most vulnerable in society - and we will get through this challenging time.
