Defending Our Countryside

Helen in a field.

Our countryside is under attack.

Across Faversham & Mid Kent, more than 20,000+ new houses are planned. At the same time, damaging policies are forcing farmers to sell up and rural enterprises to close, while fly-tipping is harming wildlife and spoiling our area.

We need a strong voice in Parliament to defend our rural way of life and that’s exactly what I provide.

Can our local roads support 8,000+ new homes?

Monday, 14 July, 2025
The proposed Highsted Park development will bring more than 8,000 new homes to a remote rural area and I – like local residents – am concerned about the pressure it’ll bring to the road network. So I recently sat down with National Highways to ask them how they’re preparing for this possibility
